

Christine is a bit of a professional student, so here goes. Prior to attending college, Christine began working with the disability community at the age of 15. She worked as a reader and assistant to a college professor that was blind. She attended high school at St. Mary High School in Greenwich, Connecticut. She consistently earned first honors in most of her subjects and was named the number one math and science student in 1986. After high school, she attended New York University and received her B.A, Magna Cum Laude, majoring in Sociology and Political Science; with a focus on Black Studies. In her junior year she was awarded the Founder’s Day Scholar award. She went on to pursue both special education and law. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she worked in the school’s Special Education Law Clinic, representing children with special needs. She obtained her M.S. in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University, with a specialization in learning disabilities and executive functioning. Christine went on to receive her Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Several years later, she received her and MSW from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, with a specialization in Group Work. She is currently a licensed clinical social worker.
Christine is the founder of Motivation Therapy Center, which offers various services including: educational assessments, legal advocacy, evidence-based psychotherapy and ABA therapy for children. She plans to open The Little Learners Autism Clinic in 2025 recently published her first book, and is currently I Heard his Voice; A Therapist’s Journey Treating Young Children with Autism, A Guide for Parents and Professionals.
Christine has been working in the special education and mental health field for over 27 years. She has worked in both private and public schools, group homes, Birth to Three and law firms representing children with disabilities. She founded and served as the executive clinical director for a private agency dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism and related disorders. She has presented on various topics at schools, family support groups, Headstart, UCONN and St. Joseph's Graduate Education Program. She played a key role in the development of insurance legislation that mandated coverage for children with autism by working closely with legislators and testifying at legislative hearings. She also advocated for the inclusion of Black and Latino History in all public schools and testified on the bill that was passed into law.
Christine currently lives in Simsbury, Connecticut with her 19-year-old son. She enjoys boating, jet skiing, rollerblading, singing, dancing and comedy. She is an old school social worker who strongly advocates for social justice and equality for all. She is a longtime supporter of the Black Community and she seeks to end individual and systemic oppression though the use of immersion. Christine currently has offices in Simsbury and Hartford.
